Reopening

Dear Members

Good news.

The glass back court is reopening from 5pm Monday 27th July.

There are a few new rules due to the Covid virus:

1. The doors to the ladies and the main building will be locked, so there will be no toilet facilities.

2. Full squash games can only be played by members of the same family or support bubble.

3. “Sides” is to be played by everyone else. If players are unsure of the rules there is a video on the Squash England website. Only one person to touch the ball.

4. We have had to delete every other court time as there needs to be a certain amount of breathing space between games- as per guidelines.

5. Players to be limited to booking 2 games from 5pm per week as there is limited availability. Weekends and during the day is unlimited.

6. There is no need to check in at the moment.

7. Players to be changed and ready to play on arrival.

8. Players to sanitize hands before and after games- there will be a sanitizer station in the club. Please sanitize hands after leaving the building- suggest small hand sanitiser in kit bag.

9. Only two people in the lobby or on court at any time.

10. Please don’t touch any of the court except for entry and exit.

11. There will be no bin, so any rubbish to be taken home.

12. If anybody has any symptoms then please follow government guidelines and stay away from the club.

13. If anybody develops any symptoms after playing then please follow government guidelines and inform the club immediately.

14. All play is at members own risk.

15. It is recommended that anybody who has had COVID-19 has a medical check before resuming play.

The club has agreed to abide by all these rules and has signed a document to that effect.
BHRG has CCTV and they will be monitoring us!!

BHRG has stated that there will be no financial penalty for the shut down period. How that will work we don’t know yet.

Any queries please text the Covid 19 officer (Nick). On 07771 883399

Better than nothing!

Thanks for your patience.

The committee.
